APOGEION PROJECT

DEVELOPMENT OF PHOTOACTIVE SURFACES WITH ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIVIRAL
ACTIVITY FOR A CLEAN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT

APOGEION is an 18-month research project funded by the Regional Operational Program ATTICA under the call “Research and Innovation Cooperations in the Region of Attica, co-financed by Greece and European Union, grand agreement: ATTP4-0349671 /MIS 5185024.

This project aims to the development of g-C3N4/Ag3PO4  photocatalytic coatings for indoor air purification and cleaning. The  heterostructures are carefully synthesized to demonstrate photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation.

The innovation of the new products lies in combination of the unique properties of g-C3N4 and Ag3PO4 into one heterostructure while maintaining their sustainability through a specifically easy method of fabrication.
